Having a fresh salad dressing to serve with whatever greens, veggies, meats, cheeses, breads, etc. you have on hand can be a quick, nutritious, tasty meal. This Buffalo Molasses Dressing is sweet, spicy, and has simple measurements that can be scaled into larger batches.
Notes for Buffalo Molasses Dressing
- Feel free to adjust the levels of hot sauce and molasses if you like more spice or more sweet.
- Molasses is made by crushing sugar cane, then boiling the resulting liquid down to a thick, dark, syrup. Not as processed as brown sugar or the white granulated stuff, it brings sweetness and lots of flavor to our dressing. You could substitute honey if you wish.
Ingredients
Method
- Add Hot Sauce, Molasses, and Vinegar to a bowl and mix thoroughly. Just estimate with the molasses, using a measuring spoon can be tedious due to the sticky nature of molasses! You can always add a bit more at the end if you like.
- Slowly drizzle in Canola Oil while whisking rapidly.
- Season with Salt and Pepper. Keep in mind your choice of hot sauce may add lots of salt so taste before seasoning.
